For those who are still wondering what LDR stands for..i request them to be patient coz once u start reading this blog ull have an intuition of what it is!!..So just wait n watch!!..now here's a story of,1 of my closest friend,that has somehow troubled me a lot...still wondering,why so!! but thtz a fact maybe bcoz i was associated with it rite from the 1st day...so 'blogging' down story of Mike n Sandra...
It all started with the most happening n the most talked about networking site today in INDIA : orkut.com. Mike was thorughly into orkuttin world since his higher secondary results. He coudnt go to bed without having a scrap check. So hoooked that guy was. He actually had his own valid reasons for using orkut;wanted to keep in touch with all his GOOD OLD friends,fair enough!! 1 thing that was commendable bout Mike was that he never perverted from his usual practice,I mean orkut used strictly to keep in touch with his friends and at times expressing his views on a few other communities n thtz it!!
Everything was moving very smoothly for this simple-minded,cool guy. Generally he never accepts request from people who he hav'nt met,or hav'nt heard of, bt could'nt resist accepting a friend request from Sandra. It was actually after a lot of research work(as in any common friends,communities,ets) did he finally had the courage to accept her request. It was not only about courage but one can say "a strange exaltation that was indefinable"..(hehe..dnt mind buddy,Mike)he just could'nt digest the fact that some unknown girl from some unknown college staying miles away from him with no common friends could even think of adding strangers to her already long list of known friends..huh!! Still Sandra managed to partially convince him that it was in DESTINY that they met online..
Well..lemme give ull a brief intro of the girl in picture,Sandra..firm believer of destiny,dreamy n therefore creative,full of ideas,luvs 2 talk 2 people,n most importantly make friends..dis as all evident in her 1st chat with Mike..a few days after Mike acccepted her friend request!! I still remember their 1st chat online..Mike got so engrossed in Sandra tht he completely forgot he had to attend his GRE classess..4 d first time Mike was actually late..i jus cudnt beleive my eyes..boy who was so punctual about attending classes entered late in the class. Ghosh! sumthing was definately wrong with this guy. The whole day he was blushing for no reason. It seemed as if he had found someone in his life(he had,actually)..I tried my best 2 extract sumthing out of him but he kept saying that "everything's normal,nothin new...got late bcoz i had overslept"
Days kept passing by Mike n Sandra kept chatting by..suddenly out of a blue moon,dnt rem wht happened exactly bt cell nos. got xchanged..Mike promised Sandra to call her soon..n guess wht Mad guy cudnt resist even for a single day n gav Sandra a call,after thinkin for bout n no. of times...coz he wsnt comfortable with all dis kinda stuff,ol frnz,callin unknwn people jus 4 the heck of it!! bt still jus to keep his words,Mike called Sandra..Unfortunately she cudnt answer her call,bt a friend of hers requested him 2 call her up after say 5 mins..O man,Mike was so confused..wts goin on?? he reckoned that might be Sandra's playing some pranks with him..jus for fun...bt then she started givin infi misd calls..he 2 reciprocated..Mike jus cudnt believe his eyes..Unknown girl giving him a missed call..lolz..
Finally as soon as everyone in the house were off to sleep,Mike called Sandra..the moment he heard Sandra there ws this feeling of oneness that he cudnt hide and they went on talkin:bout life,hobbies,friends unless n untill Mike realised that he was calling from a postpaid number..hehe..pity Mike!! It was just the beginning,Mike n Sandra both got so immersed into their conversation day in day out..they had enuf common topics to talk about..to discuss bout..their daliy chores in details..u should hav seen the happiness n joy in both their eyes(thou personally i hav never seen Sandra but the way Mike xplained it 2 me,it was obvious)..
LOVE ws in d air for sure..things became dead obvious bt none of them cud actually take that step forward..it was crystal clear from Sandra's words that she has started likin Mike..for the man he is!! Without even meeting how cud hav Mike taken this step forward..he was very reluctant..he even explained his point of view to Sandra,who was in no mood to agree..she says that its all about degree of faith u hav in urself,little faith says "I can do it"..a step further "I will do it"..n nth degree says "It's already done". Mike ws quite moved with it..he started accepting changes,4 a change!! Slowly bt steadily he kept accumulating more n more out of Sandra..mayb he was thinkin in THAT terms..thou not quite sure!!
Wait a sec believe it or not..all dis happened within a span of 10 odd days!!
Everything was axiomatic..it was just a matter of as to who will take that first step..& dis poor guy,unaware bout the universal fact that it has 2 b a guy ALWAYZ..(frankly speaking i dnt accord 2 it)..waffled not bcoz he was shy but only because he ws unsure as to whether she feels the same as he does?,if she does'nt he'll loose a gud friend?,what will she think bout him?..all his questions remained unanswered till 16th midnite...
That nite i still remember both of them confessed that they like each other. After an hour-long gf-bf talks..(lolz) they mutually agreed that nothin further can be said before they meet personally..Sandra,a worshiper n Mike,a altruist were so excited n amazed by some unusual things happening in their life,completely in awe with the time on their side..n as Sandra always says "This is life,njoi every second of it"...they did exactly the same............................................................
